Visiting Kyoto should be in everyones bucket list. Even though visiting japan has become so popular these days, i have the oppurtunity to visit a couple years back when tourism was not in its peak just yet. I traveled all over the world but Kyoto was a place i could never skip. One of the best destinations i visited in Kyoto was Geisha alley and being fortunate enough to sleep in a street that had dozens of geisha walking through the night made my visit there that much more thrilling.

1. Make sure you visit the popular spots early in the morning.

2. Make sure you stay hydrated and you know some basic japanese.

3. Make sure you love drinking because this will only amplify your experience.

Kyoto in the Morning.

Visit one of the many popular breakfast destinations, one of the best restaurants i visited was a mom and pop shop in a random corner crossing a street where the houses driveways where suspended over the river. (all of the locations i recommend and visited will be on the basic subscription with a full itinerary). This locations should not be hard to find sense its located on a side street next to many other popular locations like Book-Off and other local stores.

After Breakfast/Lunch Kyoto

This part is all you, enjoy a walk to a local shrine or even go get a nice massage. I think the term "it's 5 o'clock somewhere" really applies to this time because if you aren't drinking in kyoto then what are you doing. Kyoto has some of the best whiskey distillers and also they have a lot of areas where you can drink. Drinking isn't everything though, if you just want to see what other things kyoto has for you then you can visit shrines, museums, and you can also just go shopping. Get some nice kimonos and souvenirs, kyoto has plenty of shops that make homage to its roots and its past.
